SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – The new GreenT line of hardwood plywood from Timber Products Company continues to earn praises for its innovation and sustainability. This time, it’s from the builder trade.

GreenT has been named one of Professional Builder magazine’s 100 Best New Products for 2008 and was recognized in the publication’s June issue for its technological advances in bringing a low formaldehyde plywood panel to the market.

 

“The GreenT line is an important product for homebuilders because kitchen cabinetry made with the material contributes to their ability to meet the new NAHB Green standards, as well as other sustainable building requirements,” said Timber Products Vice President Roger Rutan. “We’re honored to be one of the top new products of the year.”

 

Introduced in mid-2007, GreenT gathered several prestigious awards from the industry’s leading architectural publications last year.

 

A panel of architects, designers and specifiers selected GreenT for an Architectural Record Product Choice Award as one of the best new products of 2007. In addition, the readers of Architectural Products chose GreenT for a Top 50 Reader’s Choice Award.

 

GreenT hardwood plywood panels are manufactured with certified wood fiber and a special resin that meets most green building requirements, including LEED® and the strict California Air Resources Board (CARB) formaldehyde regulations. GreenT hardwood plywood is offered with an MDF, veneer or particleboard core and includes a panel with a hardwood face and decorative overlay back. Also available are a two-sided decorative overlay panel, raw particleboard panels and particleboard door core panels.
