Timber Products Company Launches Blog, YouTube Channel to Converse Directly with Woodworking Marketplace
Timber Products Company, the environmental leader in hardwood plywood, has introduced two new social media channels to its online presence to connect directly with lumber distributors, manufacturers and retailers of wood-based products.
The company’s new blog, Panel Talk, and its YouTube channel, TimberProductsTV, are geared around fostering two-way dialogues on important woodworking issues and challenges facing the marketplace. The blog and video channel join Timber Product’s two-year-old Twitter stream, which has exceeded 800 followers.
The blog can be found at http://blog.timberproducts.com/blog/ and the YouTube channel’s URL is www.youtube.com/TimberProductsTV.
“Engaging in two-way conversations with our customers and the woodworking community is what makes the wood products business run,” said Roger Rutan, Vice President, Sales and Marketing. “Our experience on Twitter showed how positive these discussions can be for both sides; that’s why we are expanding the opportunities to connect with our customers via a blog and video.”
Launched in early July 2010, Panel Talk will feature posts from Timber Products’ experts as well as guest submissions from industry insiders who will open up conversations around today’s most pressing wood products issues. Videos planned for the YouTube channel will feature opportunities for viewers to learn about incorporating sustainability into their business, and insights on industry issues from company representatives.
