How Our Products Are Made

Hardwood Lumber

Hardwood Lumber

We run 1,000 wood logs through our Nicholson ring debarker during each shift. Depending on how much lumber can be yielded from each log, our resaw machine will cut boards in half or the gangsaw will cut the log into multiple boards. Each board will travel through our trimmer to square-up the rough ends, while the hardwood boards without square edges will go through the optimized edger.

The final step of the hardwood manufacturing process includes quality assurance. Our professional lumber graders examine both faces of the boards in our grading booth to ensure our wood products are of the highest quality and suitable for our partners.

Our manufacturing process has been fine-tuned over the last century, resulting in industry-leading wood products with unmatched quality. We take pride in the high-quality wood products we produce, which is engrained in the manufacturing process of our hardwood veneer.

Timber Products understands the importance of color in maple wood. We go to great lengths to ensure our hardwood veneers maintain a bright, rich aesthetic without compromising the veneer’s strength and performance. Our unique drying system uses cool and slow drying processes, which require extra time, but helps maintain the wood veneer’s premium white color.

Our high-tech Crossmaster splicing equipment allows us to custom splice hardwood veneer panels to our customer’s request. We use ultra low UF (urea formaldehyde) resin glue or a NAF resin (no added formaldehyde) for minimal environmental impact.

Once the hardwood veener is made, a thorough grading process is conducted to ensure consistent quality is being produced. With an average of 20 years of experience, our professional graders inspect each hardwood veneer panel by hand before they are shipped to end users around the world.
