On average 350000Trees planted a year
More than 800Acres of forest regrown
Over 15Years of compliance
Our commitment to the environment starts from the ground up. Every day, our dedicated foresters work passionately to preserve our environment by planting trees, managing road maintenance, preserving wildlife habitats, and more.
We maintain an excellent reputation with state and federal agencies that oversee environmental issues. Our forest lands, managed by Michigan-California Timber Company, are SFI certified and are audited annually by PwC.
We create and use EPA-approved Best Management Practices in all our operations. These plans—including harvest planning and spotted owl management plans—reduce our impact on water, wildlife, and soil quality. They ensure the best use of our natural resources over the next five to 100 years of harvest.See Our Forestry Practices
We buy timber from both the US Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management. That’s because we know that more active management of our public lands in the US promotes forest health and reduces the fuels that cause devastating wildfires.
We even purchase fire-killed timber from US Forest Service lands. By removing the dead trees, the Forest Service can prepare these lands to grow a new forest. And we can convert these recently killed trees into valuable wood products.See Our Forestry Practices
